2 tbsp Garlic, chopped
3 tbsp Cornstarch
1/4 cup Water
* These Broccoli and Cauliflower Bites can also be served with marinara, buffalo or ranch sauce, depending on your preference!
Preparation
1. Preheat combi oven to 390°F / 100% humidity (convection at maximum power) or conventional oven to 425°F.
2. Mix the first 4 ingredients in a large bowl to form a dough. Adjust dough consistency as needed by adding milk. The dough should have the consistency of a pancake batter, coating the florets in a thin layer.
3. Coat the frozen cauliflower and broccoli florets in the batter, then in the breadcrumbs.
4. Place coated florets in a single layer and spray well with oil.
5. Bake for 15 minutes*, turning halfway through. Spray again with oil.
6. While cooking, prepare the general tao sauce by mixing all the sauce ingredients, bring to the boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
7. Coat bites with sauce just before serving, or for a crispier result, serve bites with sauce on the side, as a dip.
* Conventional oven baking will take about 20 minutes, for a more golden result extend the baking time.
