Maple Glazed Carrots, Lime and Cilantro
Ingredients
- 2 bags (4,4 lbs) Arctic Gardens Whole Baby Carrots
- ½ cup (4 oz) of unsalted butter
- ¾ cup (6 oz) of maple syrup
- 3 tbsp of lime juice
- 3 tbsp of lime zest
- 3 tbsp of cilantro, chopped
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of ground black pepper
Preparation
- Boil or steam carrots for 3 to 5 minutes.
- In a frying pan, melt the butter and then add the maple syrup and lime juice. Cook for about 1 minute or until syrupy consistency is obtained.
- Add carrots, lime zest, cilantro, salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently until the carrots are glazed.
- Serve immediately.
